Conde Nast don't get online…

I like Conde Nast, For years I have gifted Vogue for my wife and I like a good trawl of Johansens now and then. In the past week I have had 3 emails from different members of Conde Nast advising me to look out for a wonderful promotion coming in the post. The content of the emails runs thus,

Our subscription team has come up with the most generous Conde Nast Traveller offer with a fantastic saving and a fabulous gift.

You should receive it in the post in the next week or so.

Do not miss out!

So I have a number of issues with this:

1. ‘A most generous offer’: Surely its the consumer that decides if it is generous or not. Secondly, am I supposed to be thinking, ‘Wow, Conde Nast, you’re really spoling me..’

2. You’ve got my attention, why waste it by not giving me the offer?

3. Sending it by post in the next week or so? I have enough junk mail as it is, I won’t remember in a week when this arrives.

So, overall a fail. If you have taken my attention (three times in a week from different magazines), don’t waste it with not giving me the offer.

And they wonder why the ‘offline media’ is in decline….
