I saw Eric Clapton play live on Wednesday night. This was my first Eric concert and my first concert in the Royal Albert Hall (actually, first time ever in the Royal Albert Hall.) After two performances at the O2 recently, I was stunned at the intimacy of the Hall.
We had peachy seats near the front which allowed for great views and the acoustics were amazing. I thought it was so cool that before the show you could go and look at the stage. Admittedly there was only a carpet and a drum kit, but how often do you get that close?
What was even cooler was at the end, the crowd surged to the stage seemingly unhindered by Hall staff. In this day of Health and Safety that delighted me!
I tried to take some pictures of the event but the HDR process was too slow and the standard camera just saturated the shot. Here are a few shots before and during the show
